NCAA Division I Eligibility
In order to be eligible for Division I sports, students must complete the following:
4 Years of English 3 Years of Math (Algebra I or higher) 2 Years of Natural/Physical Science (ex: Biology/Physical Science/Chemistry) 2 Years of Social Studies 1 Additional year of Math or Natural/Physical Science 4 Additional core courses (ex: English, Social Studies, Math, Science, Foreign Language, or Religion/Philosophy) AND Earn an ACT sum score that matches your core-course GPA on the Division I sliding scale. Remember: You must complete the first ten of your 16 cores prior to beginning your seventh semester of school. In other words, before beginning your senior year of high school. No eligible Division I player may have a core GPA below a 2.3. |
